Your policy through your spouse’s benefit meets minimum essential coverage (MEC), so all of the reimbursements you receive will be tax-free. While you can't be reimbursed for payments made toward your spouse’s group policy, you can be reimbursed for medical expenses for yourself and your family.
For example, the cost of medical expenses like doctor visits, prescriptions, glasses, and even sunscreen could be covered.
Note: Any shared portion of the policy’s premium that is paid through a payroll is not eligible under a PeopleKeep reimbursement benefit. Those premiums are considered part of another company's employee benefit, so that same premium can't be part of your company's benefit, too.
