What is a new benefit year?
Every calendar year your PeopleKeep benefit program automatically resets - we call this a new benefit year. A new benefit year is the best time to make changes. You can change allowance amounts and eligibility for part-time employees.
Why do I need to set up a new benefit year?
Give your employees peace of mind by confirming their 2019 benefit allowance. Open enrollment is one of the few times employees can change their personal health insurance and it runs November 1, 2018 through December 15, 2018 for most states - check here for open enrollment dates in your state. Your employees can make a more informed health insurance decision once they know how much your company plans to make available to them in 2019.

How long will this take?
Setting up your new benefit year will only take a few minutes online.
Do I need to communicate to employees?
Yes, and PeopleKeep automates that. Once you set up your new benefit year, you can notify eligible employees immediately or wait until November 1st. If you don’t take action before November 1, PeopleKeep will automatically apply your 2018 benefits to 2019 and notify employees.
What do my employees need to do?
PeopleKeep will notify each eligible employee and help them personalize their benefit for the new year.
